Insanely Nutty Whole Wheat Pancakes







This morning I whipped these up and they were DE-lishhhhhh!

Nutty Honey Whole Wheat Pancakes

1 cup oatmeal
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 ts baking soda
1 ts baking powder
1/2 ts salt
2 1/2 skim milk + 1 tb vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1 egg
1 ts vanilla
1/3 cup chopped almonds (or whatever nut you like)!

Mix all ingredients together, adding nuts last.
Some people like grinding the oatmeal in a blender first, but I like the chewiness whole oalmeal gives to the pancakes.





Let sit for 2-3 minutes so oatmeal can soak up some moisture. Batter will be very thick! Add a little extra milk if you like it thinner.

Cook on both sides and EAT!












I ate mine with blackberry jam on top! So yummmmmmy!
