This isn't the most photogenic food I have ever made, nor am I a great photographer.... but BOY DID THEY TASTE GOOD!!! I got the idea from HERE and decided to make them with what I had on hand. I love making foods that get my kids to eat veggies in the most unexpected places and love it.... like these
Here's what you need:
3 cups of thawed veggies (i used broccoli)
2 eggs
16 oz ground turkey
2 cups Rice Crispies cereal, crushed
onion powder
garlic powder
salt and pepper
Here's what you do:
Blend veggies in the blender to chop up very finely.
Add veggies to the ground turkey and add eggs and seasoning. I didn't measure my seasonings... I just sprinkle til it looks good!
After meat mixture of made, spread some rice crispies on the counter and pop some meat on top. Squish down to about 1/2 thick, then sprinkle a little more rice crispies on top.
My daughter chose a Christmas tree and a star cookie cutter to make the nuggets.
Place nuggets on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 for about 15 minutes. Flip the nuggets over at about 7 minutes so both sides get nice and brown.
Serve with your favorite dip. We love RANCH!
